The Survival States

  1. Fight/Flight: Your heart rate spikes, your breath gets shallow, and your body is primed for war or escape. In the modern world, this looks like chronic anxiety, irritability, and workaholism.
  2. Freeze/Fawn: You feel numb, stuck, or overly compliant. You lose your voice and your power. This is the "shut down" response.
