Everyone has traumatic experiences in their past. Those horrible moments you don’t even like to think about from your history, that come back to haunt you. While for most those moments leave an indelible mark, there is a better way forward.

The temptation is to let those moments scare you, and affect the way that you behave, for the rest of your life. But that is not necessary. We think we need to be extra-careful about something because of a bad scare or a horrible situation sometimes, when in reality, we’re only holding ourselves back because of an irrationally overbearing fear based on that circumstance.

This is where we have to learn to forgive ourselves or others and move on with our lives, understanding that we could be scarred by that moment, but we do not need to be, and we will only hurt ourselves if we allow ourselves to be.

On today’s episode, I’m sharing the story of the worst 20 minutes of my life, and how I worked to not allow it to scare the rest of my life.

  • Teach your mind what to notice about life, so that the mind can liberate itself
  • Choose to forgive yourself and others, for the possibility of the life that you truly want and desire
