I know that it’s devastating to hear the news. You feel like your life is flipped upside down, but know that you are not that thing.

Your illness, your disability, whatever, is not you.

Sure you won’t be able to do everything you used to do, but that’s ok. Instead find ways to make it serve a purpose. Find things you can still do and excel at them.

And don’t hide your disability. Embrace it. Own it. Don’t let it own you.
