One of the things we are afraid of is boredom. We do everything we can to avoid it. The biggest way we get around it today is through Netflix and binge watching.

It’s really unfortunate because our most creative times, and best problem solving, comes from boredom.

If you really want to find yourself, and find solutions, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Get out of your environment
  2. Do some simple movements
  3. Let boredom kick in

Get out of your house and go for a walk. Changing your atmosphere will get your mind working.

Just remember, it’s ok to be bored. The biggest advancements in the world came from people pondering, and not being distracted.

On this episode of the Have It All Podcast we are joined by Matthew Cooke. He joins Guy as they discuss what really motivates people, how to get to the place you want to be in life, and why we should love Mondays instead of hate them.

The Cliff Notes:

  • When we are bored that’s when our subconscious kicks in and our sense of self is formed.
  • You need to have relationships to have it all.
  • Success shouldn’t be measured by money.
  • We all have boundaries.
  • There’s a culture of over masculinity occurring that’s really holding us back.
  • The body gives you guidance at any given time.
  • Don’t try to overcome what’s happening, learn to go with the flow.
  • Problems are things humans create because we are bored. Don’t be trapped as a problem solver.
  • Create a problem that’s so big you can’t achieve it in your lifetime.
  • There’s 160 hours in a week. Don’t live looking forward to only 30 of them.
  • Learn how you can love Mondays.
  • The school system was made to create factory workers.
  • Human bodies are designed to be in perpetual motion, not sitting around all day.
  • Your best things will be done while you are moving, and letting your mind run free.
  • Create a false scenario where you feel safe so you know what you really want.
  • You attract what you allow, so don’t be afraid to surrender.
  • Nothing shows up the way you expect them to.
  • When the mind kicks in, it always offers resistance.
  • We’ve created a harsh reality.
  • Trying to create the perfect child is what messes people up.
  • When a child is born we have no idea what needs they are going to have.
  • We need to give more credit to the intelligence of children.
  • Have empathy for yourself.
